Programs they’ve performed over the years include Chopin Reimagined, featuring their arrangements of four Etudes and the entire Sonata no. 2 in Bb minor; Bach XXI, their album with acclaimed classical violinist Philippe Quint featuring Matt’s arrangements of selected Bach pieces; From Bach To Brubeck, which features Matt’s arrangements and original compositions based on the music of both composers; Jerusalem Trilogy, the title of their 2010 album featuring Matt’s original compositions and arrangements in a unique fusion of Classical, Jazz, Arab and Jewish musical styles and genres; and Gershwin Reconstructed, featuring Matt’s “reconstructed” arrangements of classic Gershwin songs. MHT’s latest album, Bach Reinvented, was released in June 2018 on Enja Records (Marsyas label). The album features the trio in 9 new Bach arrangements with virtuoso flutist extraordinaire Andrea Griminelli.

"(Matt) is as comfortable in classical as jazz, but it is the later that he explores thoroughly on Forget Me Not, originally released in 2005, but rearranged in homage to the great trumpeter Lew Soloff. The album presents a good mix of styles as jazz integrates contemporary classical, funk, blues and Latin and Brazilian music. There are 10 pieces totaling 66 minutes, some original compositions by Herskowitz, but also Nina Simone’s "Four Women", Henry Mancini’s "Etude on the Days of Wine & Roses", and several other covers played masterfully." - Musicomania

"Much to the leader’s credit, the repertoire covers a wide range of musical styles, ranging from blues and latin to Jewish melodies and thoughtful ballads, all deftly executed and in places with much feeling. Twelve years later this album stands up very well and remains a most befitting homage to the departed." - La Scena Musicale
